Michelle’s interest in art covers a wide spectrum of mediums. She is primarily self-taught, along with attending workshops and various classes in ceramics.
Michelle worked at Xerox Corporation for 27 years in the Publications Department and while there attended some evening programs in Graphic Arts at Rochester Institute of Technology. She spent many weekends doing art shows in and around the Rochester, New York area, which is where she is from.
Michelle’s interest for the past nine years has been working with recycled aluminum printing plates. She saw an ad in the local newspaper advertising printing plates for sale, not knowing at the time what she would do with them, she purchased them anyway…. with a love of the area and her interest in collage, she was led to create these colorful designs.
Michelle’s first trip to Sedona, Arizona, was in 1990; she vacationed here every year, until purchasing a home in 1996. Michelle has a great appreciation of Sedona and is inspired by the beautiful high desert landscape and colors.
