The Save Europe Act is a grassroots European Citizens’ Initiative (ECI) launched in late May 2026 by Dutch commentator Eva Vlaardingerbroek and Austrian activist Martin Sellner. The initiative aims to halt non-European immigration and establish a continent-wide “remigration” framework.
The proposed legislative draft requests that the European Commission implement the following measures:

- Immigration Halt: A temporary halt to most non-Western immigration channels.
- Remigration & Deportations: Immediate deportation of rejected asylum seekers and the development of a unified system to return unassimilated migrants, criminals, and welfare dependents to their countries of origin or safe third zones.
- Welfare Reductions: Cutting social benefits and financial incentives that are perceived as pull factors for migrants.
- Border Security: Major reforms to the EU asylum system, focusing heavily on border protection and strict return policies.
- Saving European Culture: Acknowledging the peoples, culture, and religion of Europe as the foundation of its states and thereby preserving ethnocultural continuity
